Under the Scheme-I of the BIS (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018, the licence to use Standard Mark shall be granted initially for not less than 1 year and upto 2 years.
The BIS licence may be renewed for a further period of not less than 1 year and upto 5 years. A request for licence renewal must be submitted 3 months before the licence expires along with the production details.
