The Legal Metrology Act, 2009<\/b><\/p>

The Legal Metrology Act, 2009 (\u201cLM Act\u201d) establishes uniform weights and measures and regulates trade and commerce in weights, measures and other goods which are sold or distributed by weight, measure or number. As per Section 23 of the Legal Metrology Act, 2009, manufacturing, repair and dealer license is issued by the Controller, only for the area of jurisdiction.<\/p>

The Model of Legal Metrology (Enforcement) Rules, 2010<\/b><\/p>

As per the Model of Legal Metrology (Enforcement) Rules, 2010, every manufacturer, repairer or dealer of weight or measure instruments shall make an application for the issue of license in the appropriate form set out in Schedule II-A. Manufacturer license is applied in Form LM-1 and issued in Form LM-3.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
